UPDATE (December 13, 2023): The person who lost their life as a result of this accident has been identified as 26-year-old Joshua Martinez-Deez.
Houston, TX — December 10, 2023, one person was killed and two were injured in a car accident at approximately 1:45 a.m. along Eldridge Pkwy.
According to reports, a man was traveling in a southbound silver Nissan on Eldridge Parkway approaching the Clay Road intersection when the accident took place.
For unknown reasons, the Nissan allegedly failed to stop at the indicated red light at the intersection, resulting in a collision with a pickup truck which had been westbound on Clay Road. The two people in the pickup truck—a man and a woman—had minor injuries. The man in the Nissan incurred serious injuries as a result of the crash; he was transported to a local medical facility by emergency medical services in order to receive immediate treatment. However, he later succumbed to his injuries, having been declared deceased at the hospital.
The cause of the accident is still under active investigation by local authorities. The weather and road conditions in the area at the time were not reported on. Additional details—including the identities of those involved—are not available at this point in time.
