La Plata, MD — July 24, 2026, Joseph Skinner was killed in a tow truck accident at about 4:20 p.m. in the 9300 block of West and W. Industrial Drive.
Authorities said a tow truck operator was trying to load an SUV when the truck’s flatbed began to move forward unexpectedly, causing the SUV to hit the operator.
Tow truck operator Joseph Louis Skinner, 67, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, according to authorities.
Authorities have not released any additional information about the Charles County crash at this time.
