Hyde County, N.C. — January 17, 2025, John Fields and Timothy Hubbard were killed following a car crash that occurred at around 2:00 A.M. near Out Fall Canal Road.
An investigation is underway into a car accident that left two people dead during the early morning hours of January 17th. According to official reports, John Fields was operating a Chevy Pickup near Out Fall Canal Road Timothy Hubbard and Robert Nunnery as passengers, when for unknown reasons the vehicle backed into the canal and turned upside down in water.
When first responders arrived on the scene they found that both Fields and Hubbard were without signs of life and were pronounced deceased, while Nunnery was able to escape the submerged vehicle. At this time the fatal accident remains under investigation to determine how events unfolded leading up to the accident.
