Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman

Usually when authorities mention someone being on the wrong side of the road, they’ll also mention the possibility that driver may have been intoxicated. I’ve certainly had my fair share of cases where someone couldn’t keep their vehicle on the right side of the road because they had too much to drink, and there was some local alcohol provider who had unlawfully over-served them. But there could be other factors involved here which could present equally complex legal mazes that will require a lot of evidence and strategy to properly navigate. If authorities were able to clarify what exactly went wrong here, did they make sure the victims and families involved had all the facts so they could work toward a fair resolution?
