There isn’t a lot of information available about what happened here, and I can only wonder what steps have been taken behind the scenes to really get clear answers. Folks tend to assume authorities have teams dedicated to getting every little details after a serious accident. In reality, some departments are quick to have officers move on before they’ve really had an opportunity to get all the facts.
That’s why it can be helpful to have this general rule of thumb. If folks feel they’re getting clear, sensible answers from authorities, it’s probably because authorities are doing good investigations. But if they feel they’re not getting answers and things aren’t adding up, it could be authorities are coming up short, and there need to be steps taken to pick up the slack.
