Grant county, AR — March 22, 2023, Jeffery Curry was killed due to a semi-truck rollover accident along U.S. 167 in Sheridan.
Arkansas State Police officials said the incident happened at around 12:45 p.m. in the area of U.S. Highway 167 and Highway 7. Initial statements say that 56-year-old Jeffery Curry was the driver of a Mack truck going northbound on U.S. 167. For reasons currently unclear, the truck went off-road where it overturned. Due to the crash, Curry sustained fatal injuries.

Beyond this, authorities have not given any additional details.
Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
Commercial truck wrecks always offer unique challenges, so my hope is authorities are going to dedicate enough time and effort to make sure nothing important slips through the cracks. People tend to think this sort of thing just involves checking cell phone records or to see if a medical condition or fatigue contributed to the crash. But there are countless other unique challenges to overcome when it comes to commercial trucks.
For example, one I wonder about reading these details is how serious the rollover was. I know it seems obvious the crash was serious, since the driver died. But sometimes, a rollover in a commercial truck wreck becomes fatal not due to the crash itself but rather a poorly built truck’s inability to protect the driver. That’s just one possible factor, of course, but if it’s something authorities aren’t looking into, it may be important to find out if they’re overlooking anything else.
