Philadelphia, PA — February 28, 2026, Jason Harvey was killed in a hit-and-run tow truck accident at about 4:15 p.m. in the 4000 block of Frankford Avenue.
Authorities said a 2016 Ford F-250 tow truck was going south when the 2005 Dodge Magnum it was towing came loose and crashed into a motorcycle in the northbound lane.
Motorcyclist Jason Harvey, 39, of Southampton died after being transported to a local hospital, according to authorities.
The tow truck was located at an apartment building in the block of East Lycoming Avenue, authorities said, but they have not tracked down the operator yet.
Authorities have not released any additional information about the Philadelphia County crash at this time.
