Fort Bend County, TX — September 15, 2025, a child was injured as the result of a hit-and-run accident at around 3:14 a.m. along Farm-to-Market 521.
Preliminary details about the crash say that it took place in the area of F.M. 521 and F.M. 2234, south of Houston.

According to officials, 23-year-old Zoria Crawford was driving a Nissan Altima northeast along F.M. 521. While doing so, a Volkswagen Jetta apparently hit the Nissan from behind. This caused the Nissan to overturn off-road. The Jetta reportedly fled the scene.
While Zoria Crawford did not have reported injuries, a 3-year-old in the Nissan apparently had serious injuries. No other injuries were reported. It’s unclear if authorities were able to identify the runaway driver.

I have to wonder if authorities ever made progress in their investigations here. If not, it would likely be prudent to put more information about this crash into the public eye. A lot of the time, crashes like this see a resolution because someone in the public is able to connect the dots and identify someone. That way, steps can be taken to see there are consequences for the accident and possibly for anything that led the driver to flee in the first place, such as warrants or drunk driving. Either way, it’s important for a family to know there’s going to be accountability for the harm done to them.
