How Did This Accident Occur?

It can be tempting to attribute this crash to driver fatigue since it happened at about midnight, but I’ve seen enough crashes to know that nothing can be certain until the investigation is completed.

Authorities likely will consider driver fatigue or error in their investigation, but will they look into whether there was tire blowout or an issue with the SUV’s steering mechanism? That is less likely, in my experience, because police typically don’t have the time or expertise for such technical examinations.

An outside expert may be needed for a complete investigation, one that answers any questions that those affected by this crash may have about it.
