Dallas, TX — April 12, 2024, Gregory Gonzalez was injured in a hit-and-run car accident at about 7:45 p.m. along Shorecrest Drive.
According to authorities, 58-year-old Gregory Gonzalez was traveling in a southwest bound Chevy Blazer on Shorecrest Drive in the vicinity east of Denton Drive when the accident occurred.
Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, a southeast bound Kia Optima on a private drive attempted to enter the roadway at an unsafe time, failing to yield the right of way to roadway traffic. This resulted in a collision between the front-right side of the Kia and the front-end of the Chevy. The person who had been behind the wheel of the Kia allegedly fled the scene on foot.
Gonzalez suffered reportedly severe injuries as a result of the wreck; he was transported to a local medical facility by emergency medical services in order to receive necessary treatment. Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
