Bastrop, TX — March 13, 2024, Grant Hough was injured in a motorcycle versus car accident just before 9:00 p.m. along State Highway 21.
According to authorities, a Mercedes-Benz had come to a stop preparing to merge from southbound S.H. 21 onto S.H. 71 as it yielded to eastbound traffic when the accident took place.

Officials indicate that, for unknown reasons, a Ford F-150 failed to slow appropriately as it approached the back of the Mercedes. This resulted in a rear-end collision between the Ford and the Mercedez-Benz. A motorcycle occupied by 43-year-old Grant Hough then crashed into the back of the pickup truck, as well. He was thrown forward over the handlebars of the motorcycle and into the back of the pickup as a result.
Hough incurred suspected severe injuries due to the wreck. He was transported to a local medical facility by emergency medical services in order to receive necessary treatment. No other injuries have been reported.
Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
