Gavin Taylor, 4 Injured in Wrong-way Car Accident on I.H. 45 in Harris County, TX

Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, the Acura took a road that led to the southbound lanes of the highway, rather than exiting toward the regular northbound lanes, crashing into a traffic control arm, a gate, a concrete barrier, and a sign in the process. The Acura then entered the southbound lanes of the interstate, heading into oncoming traffic. This resulted in a collision between the front-end of the Acura and the front-left side of a southbound Infiniti occupied by 46-year-old Gavin Taylor, a 41-year-old woman, and an 11-year-old boy.

Taylor, the boy from the Infiniti, and the man from the Acura each suffered reportedly severe injuries as a result of the wreck. The woman from the Acura and the woman from the Infinity also sustained minor injuries, according to reports. All five people involved were transported to local medical facilities by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment.
