Wood County, TX — March 26, 2023, Frances Williams and a teenager were killed due to a car accident which happened outside of Quitman.
Authorities said that the accident happened late Sunday along FM 779. Details suggested that 69-year-old Frances Williams was in a Ford Fusion going eastbound. A 17-year-old girl was in a Ford Bronco going westbound. For reasons unconfirmed at this time, the vehicles collided head-on.
Williams and the teenager sustained fatal injuries due to the crash. No further information about the crash can be confirmed at this time.

When it comes to a head-on collision like this, things can be incredibly chaotic due to the seriousness of the collision itself. That sort of scene typically requires a lot of experience and equipment to ensure nothing slips through the cracks.
Unfortunately, when neither driver is around to tell their side of the story, that only makes things more challenging. It’s not clear right now if authorities were able to speak with witnesses, but either way there will need to be clear evidence to make sure the victims’ loved ones know they’re getting the whole story.
