Lancaster, CA — April 10, 2023, one person was killed and four were injured following a semi-truck accident along Highway 138 in the Antelope Valley area.
Authorities said that the incident happened at approximately 5:41 p.m. along Highway 138 off the corner of 110th Street.

Obviously, it’s too early to draw conclusions about this crash. I wouldn’t encourage anyone to do so without clear evidence. My concern though is what steps are being taken to get that evidence. As much as authorities are all over a scene like this, they aren’t always given the time and equipment they need to actually get clear answers. As a result, important details can slip through the cracks.
The pictures of this crash scene paint a very chaotic picture, which experience tells me is likely to create a much more challenging accident reconstruction than a typical truck wreck (which is already complex enough on its own). What steps are authorities taking to make sure the victims and families involved are going to get the answers they deserve?
