Houston, TX — October 15, 2023, a woman was killed after an apparent hit-and-run accident which happened at around 2:15 a.m. along Pershing Street.
According to an ongoing police investigation, the as yet unidentified 43-year-old woman was struck by a vehicle in the 5800 block of Pershing just off of Martin Luther King Blvd.
The victim was walking along the side of the road when police believe she was struck by the vehicle. That vehicle then left the scene. As a result of the accident, the woman was pronounced deceased following transport to a local hospital.
The still unknown driver was said to be going westbound in a vehicle whose description is unknown at this time. Authorities are encouraging members of the public who may know more to come forward.
