Abilene, TX — May 19, 2023, Evelyn Martinez and two others were injured due to a car accident at around 10:45 p.m. along Treadaway Boulevard.
Preliminary details about the crash indicate that it took place near the intersection of Treadaway Boulevard and 1st Street.
Authorities said that 27-year-old Evelyn Martinez was in a Ford Edge that was going southbound on Treadway. The Ford entered the far left turn-only lane and came to a stop. From the northbound lanes, it appears that a motorcycle crossed through the intersection, but it went to the left and reportedly went out of its lane. This resulted in the motorcycle crashing into Martinez’s vehicle.
The man riding the motorcycle was thrown from the bike and sustained apparently incapacitating injuries. Martinez and a passenger in the Ford were said to have incapacitating injuries. Right now, authorities allege that the motorcyclist was under the influence of alcohol. No further information can be confirmed at this time.
