Erin Schnittker Injured in Car Accident in Denton, TX

Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, a northeast bound Toyota Tundra pickup truck attempted a right turn from Wind River Lane onto the service road at an apparently unsafe time, failing to yield to the southeast bound traffic. This resulted in a collision between the left side of the pickup truck and the front-right corner of the Nissan. The crash caused the Nissan to veer left, crossing over the grassy median and entering the southeast bound lanes of I.H. 35. There, the front-left corner of the Nissan collided with the side of an 18-wheeler which had been traveling in the right-most lane of the interstate before going into a clockwise spin. The back left corner of the Nissan then also struck the back right side of the 18-wheeler’s trailer.

Schnittker incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the wreck; she was transported to a local medical facility by emergency medical services in order to receive necessary treatment. No other injuries have been reported.

Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
