Collin County, TX — May 7, 2024, Erin Hendrickson was killed and two others were injured in a car accident shortly before 9:45 a.m. along Preston Road.
According to authorities, 36-year-old Erin Hendrickson and a 2-year-old boy were traveling in a westbound Lincoln Aviator SUV on Punk Carter Way at the Preston Road intersection when the accident took place.

The Lincoln was reportedly given the green light by the traffic signal and continued forward into the intersection, attempting to make a left tun onto southbound Preston Road. Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, a northbound Ford F-150 occupied by a 17-year-old boy on Preston failed to stop for the red light at the intersection. This resulted in a collision between the front-end of the pickup truck and the front-left side of the Aviator.
Hendrickson suffered reportedly fatal injuries as a result of the wreck, while the little boy who had been in the car with her was moderately injured. The minor from the Ford sustained severe injuries, as well, according to reports. He and the boy from the Lincoln were each transported to local medical facilities by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment.
Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
