Bell County, TX — March 27, 2024, Elizabeth Simplicio and one other person were injured in a car accident just after 12:30 p.m. along Airport Road.

According to authorities, 53-year-old Elizabeth Simplicio was traveling in an eastbound Ford Bronco SUV along S.H. 36 in the vicinity of the Moffat Road intersection when the accident took place.

Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, a westbound Ford Taurus occupied by a 71-year-old woman attempted a left turn onto southbound Moffat Road at an apparently unsafe time, failing to yield the right of way to eastbound traffic. This resulted in a collision between the Taurus and the Bronco.

Both Simplicio and the woman from the Taurus incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the wreck. They were each transported to local medical facilities by emergency medical services in order to receive necessary treatment.
