While it’s always prudent to wait for more facts to come out following a deadly accident, it’s also important to know where those facts came from. That’s especially true when a crash involves a motorcyclist.
Unfortunately, there’s a lot of bias surrounding motorcycle riders. Sometimes, there needs to be some assurance that authorities actually dug into the evidence rather than jumped to conclusions based on some preconceived bias of how motorcyclists behave.
If families find that authorities are able to address all of their doubts and concerns, that’s good. Other times, they feel details aren’t adding up or there are gaps in the story. When that happens, it can help to make sure an independent investigation covers things to ensure nothing important has slipped through the cracks.
