Authorities say that on May 26, an accident occurred when a Nissan struck a bicyclist at Nostrand Avenue and Avenue R in Brooklyn. According to reports, the Nissan was heading north on Nostrand shortly before 9:30 p.m. when it collided with the eastbound bicyclist.
Authorities say 35-year-old Edgar Torres-Hernandez suffered severe injuries and was taken to an area hospital for medical attention. Torres reportedly succumbed to his injuries after a few days in the hospital.
No other injuries were reported.
