Chase County, KS — July 15, 2023, Dylan Chastain was injured following a semi-truck accident at around 1:00 p.m. along Highway 177.
Investigators said that the incident happened in the area of the Highway 177 and U.S. Highway 50 interchange. Details at this time suggest that 18-year-old Dylan E. Chastain was in a Nissan Frontier that was going eastbound along the highway. It appears the Nissan was passing another vehicle when it was hit head-on by a semi-truck.
Chastain was taken from the scene of the crash with injuries said to be serious. The truck driver did not have any reported injuries. Currently, additional details about the crash cannot be confirmed. Investigations are still ongoing.
