Houston, TX — July 11, 2024, Donald Karnes and one other were injured following a motorcycle accident at around 11:12 p.m. along Eastex Freeway.

According to authorities, 26-year-old Donald Karnes and a 29-year-old woman were on a Harley-Davidson motorcycle going along I-69. At the I-45 split, the motorcycle somehow crashed into a barrier. As a result, both Karnes and the woman on the motorcycle sustained serious injuries.

Frankly, a lot of people are biased against motorcyclists, and that can lead to people jumping to conclusions—even the authorities. What were road conditions like? Did the vehicle have mechanical issues? Was there another reckless driver who left the scene? Is there an issue with road design here? Are there nearby cameras that caught things on video?
