March 16, 2026, a Harris County Sheriff’s Deputy was injured in an alleged intoxicated driver accident at 12:30 a.m. along Beltway 8.

Preliminary statements on the accident say that it happened at the intersection of Beltway 8 and Imperial Valley Drive.

According to officials, a Harris County Sheriff’s deputy was in a vehicle going westbound through the intersection. While doing so, a northbound vehicle allegedly ran the light and crashed into the deputy. Due to this, the deputy reportedly sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
