Morrilton, AR — November 23, 2024, David Lee Cook was killed and Joyce Cook and Barbara Mallett were injured in a car accident on Harding Street.
Authorities said two vehicles crashed head-on near the intersection of Harding and Wilson Street when one of them drifted out of its lane after a slight curve in the road.
David Lee Cook, 70, died from injuries sustained in the crash, according to authorities. He was driving a 2024 Nissan Frontier with his wife, Joyce Cook, as a passenger.
Joyce Cook, 70, and the driver of the other vehicle, Barbara Mallet, 75, were transported to local hospitals, authorities said. Details of their injuries have not been released.
Mallet was driving a 2009 Ford Edge at the time of the accident, according to authorities.
The accident is being investigated by Morrilton police.
