Lavaca County, TX — June 9, 2023, David Dobson was injured as the result of a single-vehicle car accident at 2:43 p.m. along F.M. 1680.
According to initial details from investigators, the crash took place in the area of County Road 1680A.
Authorities said that 64-year-old David Dobson was the driver of a Chevy Tahoe that was going southeast along F.M. 1680. While doing so, it appears the vehicle somehow went off the side of the road, veering left across the oncoming lane of travel. Once off-road, it appears the Tahoe crashed through a fence line and into a ditch.
As a result of the accident, Dobson sustained injuries which were described by authorities as incapacitating. It does not appear anyone else was involved in the crash, either in Dobson’s vehicle or in a separate one. Right now, no further information can be publicly confirmed without additional details.
