Delaware County, IN — June 17, 2023, Darrell Charles Kositzke was killed following a tractor-trailer accident at around 5:15 p.m. along Interstate 69.
Details provided in initial reports by the Indiana State Police said that the crash took place along northbound lanes of the interstate in the area of State Road 28.
According to officials, a tractor-trailer reportedly driven by 65-year-old Darrell Charles Kositzke was going northbound on I-69. While doing so, due to events not entirely clead, that Tractor-trailer crashed into another commercial that was moving slowly or stopped due to construction traffic.
As a result of this collision, Kositzke sustained injuries which ultimately proved to be fatal. It’s unclear at this time if the other driver, identified only as a 58-year-old Michigan man, had injuries. No other injuries were confirmed, either. Authorities say that the factors leading up to the collision are still under investigation.
