An investigation is underway into a car accident that left one person injured during the afternoon hours of October 1st. According to official reports, Darrel Parker was travelling in a Kia Forte on Park Lake in the eastbound lanes, at the McCart Ave. intersection, when a Nissan Sentra coming from the north on McCart Ave failed to yield the right-of-way and struck Parker.
As a result of the impact, both vehicles sustained significant damage. When first responders arrived on the scene, they found that Parker had sustained serious injuries and transported him to the hospital.
