Montague County, TX — February 28, 2026, Danny Lovelady was killed in a truck accident at about 4:30 a.m. on U.S. Highway 82 east of Nocona.

Authorities said a semi-truck was heading west when it swerved to avoid a herd of cattle in the road. It ended up hitting three of the cows before overturning and skidding into a ditch and barbed wire fence.

The driver, 59-year-old Danny Lovelady, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

Authorities have not released any additional information about the Montague County crash at this time.
