Riverside, OH — July 20, 2023, a construction worker was killed following a semi-truck accident at around 4:00 a.m. along U.S. Highway 35.
According to officials with the Riverside Police Department, the incident took place along the highway near Woodman Drive.
It appears that the victim was part of a construction crew working along the roadway. In a series of events not clear at this time, a semi-truck somehow struck the worker. While it’s unclear whether or not the truck was working with the construction crew, authorities included in their statements warnings to motorists passing by the work zones.
As a result of the incident, the worker was killed. They reportedly died following transport to Miami Valley Hospital. Authorities have not yet publicly identified the victim. Details surrounding the accident are still under investigation at this time.
