Houston, TX — August 25, 2023, Christopher Jamal Washington was injured following a car accident at around midnight along Bissonnet Street.
Authorities said in their preliminary statements that the incident happened at approximately 12:22 a.m. in the area of the Bissonnet Street and Cook Road intersection.
Officials reported that 31-year-old Christopher Jamal Washington was in a Nissan Altima said to be going westbound along Bissonnet. At the Cook Road intersection, authorities say that a GMC Sierra going southbound allegedly failed to stop, causing the vehicles to collide.
Washington was taken from the scene with what were caused incapacitating injuries. It’s unclear if the other driver had any injuries. Authorities allege that the pickup driver may have been under the influence of alcohol when the crash occurred, but this has yet to be confirmed.
