No further details can be confirmed right now, and I wonder if authorities are considering even unlikely possible factors here. For example, it stands out to me that officials say one person was seriously injured while the other person in the same vehicle wasn’t hurt at all. Why is that? It could be something reasonable depending on the exact circumstances of what caused the injuries. Sometimes, though, a disparity between injuries like that can be a sign that a safety device, like an airbag or seatbelt, failed to function properly due to a defect. Unlikely or not, it’s important to consider these details to make sure nothing slips through the cracks. It remains to be seen if authorities are taking those steps.
