Accident Report
January 31, 2026, a man was injured due to a car accident that happened around 2:18 a.m. along Interstate 30.
According to initial details about the crash, it took place along westbound lanes of the interstate near Henderson Street in downtown Fort Worth.
Investigators said that a 20-year-old man and a 29-year-old man were in a BMW going westbound on the interstate. Police say that another vehicle also going westbound failed to stay in its lane. The two vehicles crashed as a result. The other vehicle then left the scene.
Due to the crash, the 29-year-old man from the BMW was said to have serious injuries. No other injuries were reported. It’s unclear if authorities ever located the runaway driver.
How Did This Accident Occur?
Police clearly believe that this car crash happened because a driver failed to maintain their lane. However, with that driver leaving the scene, finding out the how and why of all of this may depend on finding the runaway driver.
One way authorities can do that is by releasing more information to the public. A lot of the time, someone in the community is able to connect the dots and help identify someone. Then, it’s usually just a matter of time before police make an arrest. If authorities haven’t made any progress already behind the scenes, then hopefully they can share more evidence to the public in the hopes they get new information.
Did anyone happen to witness this crash who can share what they know?
