Harris County, TX — January 4, 2025, a man sustained injuries as the result of a car accident at around 9:25 p.m. along East Sam Houston Parkway.
According to initial statements, the accident happened just south of the Crosby Freeway/U.S. Highway 90 east of Houston.
Authorities said that a 38-year-old man was on foot at the time in the area of southeast lanes of the highway. A Kia Soul passing through somehow struck the man. As a result, the pedestrian was seriously injured.
Right now, no charges have been reported. Additional details are unavailable.

People are sometimes quick to jump to conclusions following pedestrian accidents. While they may think everything comes down to right-of-way, there are other important factors to consider. These can include visibility, road conditions, roadway design, lighting and signage, alcohol, distraction, etc. If authorities haven’t taken the time to consider the accident from all angles, they could be missing something important.
