Corpus Christi, TX — June 21, 2023, injuries were reported following a car accident early Wednesday morning along Waldron Road.
Corpus Christi and Nueces County emergency crews were called to the area of the Waldron Road and South Padre Island Drive early before sunrise.
Right now, the exact circumstances surrounding the crash are still unclear. It appears at least two vehicles collided on Waldron. Photos from Nueces County officials show a pick up with significant damage to the right and rear portion of the truck bed. They also showed a silver or gray sedan with significant damage to its front portion.
Multiple people had to be extricated from the wreckage after the crash before they were then transported to a hospital. The number of patients, their identities, and the severity of their injuries are all unclear at this time. Police did not confirm or rule out alcohol as a possible factor. Their investigations are ongoing.
