Bastrop County, TX — December 22, 2024, a man was injured as the result of a car accident at around 10:12 p.m. along Highway 21.
According to initial details about the accident, it happened east of Mustang Ridge along Camino Real.
It appears that a 42-year-old man was in a Toyota Corolla going eastbound along the highway. While doing so, a Chevy Silverado was in the oncoming lanes. For reasons not confirmed, the two vehicles collided with each other.
As a result of the collision, the driver of the Toyota had serious injuries. No other injuries were confirmed. At this time, other details are unavailable.

Did they consider whether a vehicle defect played a role? Mechanical failures—such as steering or brake malfunctions—can cause a vehicle to drift unexpectedly. Were both vehicles properly inspected to rule out potential defects?
Did they secure all available electronic evidence? The vehicles’ Engine Control Modules (ECMs) may have stored key data, and GPS records or nearby surveillance footage could have provided valuable insights. Were investigators careful to preserve this information?
