La Marque, TX — June 11, 2023, Camilo Estrada and two others were injured due to an alleged drunk driver accident at around 9:06 p.m. on I-45.
Details released by authorities indicate that the crash took place along main lanes of Interstate 45 southbound in the area of Newman Road.
It appears that 46-year-old Camilo Estrada, a 41-year-old woman, and a 15-year-old boy were in a Chevy pickup that was going southbound along I-45. In a series of events not entirely clear, it appears another motorist in a Lexus GS hit the back of the Chevy, causing the pickup to lose control. This then led to the pickup overturning and catching fire.
Camilo Estrada and the 15-year-old reportedly had non-incapacitating injuries. The 41-year-old woman reportedly had incapacitating injuries. Details suggest that woman was 41-year-old Noemi Estrada, however further information is needed to confirm this.
The driver of the Lexus reportedly fled the scene, but authorities said they identified and the driver and were investigating further. Records show there was a BAC test for that driver which allegedly returned a .259 result, which would be over three times the legal limit. Authorities have not yet confirmed any pending charges.
