Grand Canyon West, AZ — August 1, 2023, one person was killed and others were injured after a bus rollover accident at around 10:00 a.m. at Grand Canyon West.
Details at this time say that the incident involved a private bus and a passenger vehicle, and the location was at the Grand Canyon West Skywalk in Hualapai Indian Reservation territory.

Right now, the exact cause of the crash remains unclear. Officials said only that approximately 57 people were on a tour bus when it and a passenger vehicle belonging to a park visitor crashed. This ultimately led to the bus overturning.
As a result of the crash, one person was killed. It’s unclear who the victim was or in which vehicle they were riding. At least eight people had to be flown from the scene for their injuries. An unspecified number of other victims with reportedly less serious injuries were also taken from the scene.
