Alamo, TX — August 27, 2024, Brian Ansiel Sr. was injured following an alleged drunk driver accident at around 8:45 p.m. along F.M. 907.
According to initial details about the accident, it happened in the area of F.M. 907 and Ridge Road.
Investigators said that 59-year-old Brian Ansiel Sr. was in a Jeep Liberty coming out of a gas station onto southbound Alamo Road. A southbound Ford Ranger then crashed into Ansiel’s vehicle. Authorities say Ansiel was injured in the crash, and they allege the Ford driver was under the influence of alcohol.

If the allegations here are true, have authorities looked into where the alcohol came from? It’s frankly something that too often goes overlooked. Alcohol providers in Texas can face potential criminal investigations, fines, and liability if they unlawfully over-serve someone, and it leads to people getting hurt. I’ve handled hundreds of cases against negligent alcohol providers, and it’s unfortunately common for victims and families to come to me with zero knowledge of these legal avenues because authorities took no steps on their own to investigate beyond the intoxicated driver’s actions. Maybe authorities here have been more thorough, but it’s not the sort of thing I’d ever take for granted.
