Lamb County, TX — July 31, 2023, Brent Michael Spahich was killed as the result of a train versus truck accident at 10:45 a.m. along County Road 125.
According to initial details, the incident happened just outside of Amherst at a railroad crossing along C.R. 125.
It appears that 25-year-old Brent Michael Spahich was in a semi-truck that was going along the road and attempted to cross a railroad track. While doing so, a train was passing, resulting in the two vehicles colliding. This derailed multiple train cars.
As a result of the collision, Spahich sustained fatal injuries. He reportedly died on the way to a Littlefield hospital. There were no other confirmed injuries resulting from the crash. At this time, further information about factors surrounding the crash is unavailable.
