Collin County, TX — May 12, 2023, Brandon Kidd was fatally injured due to a car versus motorcycle accident at around 6:39 p.m. along F.M. 1138.
Initial details from the Texas Department of Public Safety provided by the Gilmer Mirror indicate that the incident happened at the intersection of F.M. 1138 and County Road 541 just south of Nevada.
According to details provided, 18-year-old Brandon Kidd was on a Suzuki motorcycle on southbound F.M. 1136. Approaching the intersection of C.R. 541, police said they believe that an oncoming Nissan failed to yield while making a turn, causing Kidd’s motorcycle and the Nissan to collide. The Nissan then hit a Jeep waiting at a stop sign.
As a result of the collision, Kidd sustained fatal injuries. Details at this time confirm that Kidd was wearing a helmet. No one else involved was listed as injured.
