Dallas, TX — June 19, 2025, Bobby Phillips was killed as the result of a hit and run accident at around 10:35 p.m. along Ravenview Road.
According to details released by authorities, the incident took place in southeast Dallas off the corner of Ravenview Road and Smoke Tree Lane.
Investigators said that 59-year-old Bobby Lee Phillips was on foot at the time along Ravenview. While walking, authorities say that a vehicle going westbound struck Bobby Phillips, then left the scene. Bobby Phillips reportedly died following transport to a hospital.
At this time, descriptions for the suspect driver and vehicle are unavailable. Investigations continue.

Police have at least taken some steps to keep this crash in the public eye, and hopefully they continue to do. The community at large is one of the best tools authorities have for investigating hit-and-runs. Often, someone is able to connect the dots if they know the person who ran from the scene, if they see a vehicle with recent suspicious damage, if they realize they have a camera with a view of the road, etc. With those combined efforts, there may yet be accountability for what happened here and for a family losing their loved one.
