Hopefully authorities have been hard at work behind the scenes to locate this truck driver. If they knew they hit someone and left the scene anyway, that could be a driver putting others at risk who needs to be taken off the road. To that end, it’s important to know what steps authorities have taken. It can surprise people to learn how often authorities happen to miss something that would seem to be obvious.
There could be a security camera nearby that caught the incident on video, there may be witnesses authorities haven’t followed up with yet, or maybe people who can see these public statements and come forward if they know something. One way or another, there’s still an opportunity to see the victim’s loved ones get the resolution they deserve, especially if there’s a wrongdoer out there who needs to be held accountable.
