Houston, TX — April 15, 2024, a man was killed in a bicycle versus car accident at approximately 9:30 p.m. along State Highway 288.
According to authorities, a man was traveling on a bicycle attempting to cross State Highway 288 at Calumet Street when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that the bicyclist was nearly hit by an 18-wheeler. He reportedly veered his bicycle, but the maneuver caused him to fall to the ground. He was then apparently struck by three other motor vehicles. He incurred reportedly fatal injuries as a result of the incident. Two people from the motor vehicles apparently suffered minor injuries and were transported to local medical facilities for treatment.
