Surface details can only tell part of the story. A meaningful investigation must go deeper—beginning with three foundational areas of inquiry that apply to every serious incident.
First, has the crash been thoroughly investigated by the authorities? In situations where a vehicle departs the roadway with no immediate explanation, investigators must carefully reconstruct the sequence of events. That includes examining road conditions, possible visual obstructions, curve design, surface irregularities, and any contributing environmental factors. When someone is ejected from the vehicle, as was the case here, questions about seatbelt usage and the vehicle’s safety system performance become especially important. A detailed review of physical evidence at the scene is the only way to begin making sense of an otherwise unclear incident.
Second, has anyone explored the possibility of a mechanical or design defect playing a role? Crashes attributed to “loss of control” often involve more than just human error.
