I haven’t seen much more information released since this crash occurred, and I can only hope that isn’t due to authorities moving on to other priorities. Why did the vehicle break down? Was it at all visible? Did the victim have his emergency lights on? If so, why didn’t the approaching driver notice that? Were other drivers able to go around the victim without any issue?
Avoidable or not, these preliminary statements leave a lot of unanswered questions, and I’m just someone in the public reading the news. If authorities have only told the family as much as they’ve told the rest of us, imagine what kind of unanswered questions they must have.
