An investigation is underway into a car accident that left one person dead during the early morning hours of January 12th. According to official reports, Amanda Allee was traveling in the westbound lanes of the Turner Turnpike when for unknown reasons, the vehicle left the roadway and onto the shoulder and collided with the rear of a parked 18-wheeler.
When first responders arrived on the scene they found that the Allee had sustained serious injuries and was declared deceased at the scene of the accident. At this time it remains unknown what events transpired leading up to the accident, and the identity of the deceased has not been released.
