There are a lot of unanswered questions here, and one in particular comes to my mind: Why were the people in the larger vehicle the ones hurt in this crash? There could be a perfectly reasonable explanation for this, but it’s important to consider the possibility of a vehicle defect.
Generally speaking, authorities get so caught up looking into what caused the crash they end up overlooking what caused the injuries. If, for example, a vehicle’s airbags or seatbelts didn’t function properly, people can end up seriously hurt or killed when they should have been fine.
It can take careful inspections from specialists to rule that sort of thing out, and authorities don’t always take the time to do that. If authorities were thorough here, then hopefully those affected by this accident can say they’re getting the full story of what happened. Otherwise, there may still be details about this crash not getting the attention it needs.
