Phoenix, AZ — July 3, 2025, a woman was injured as the result of an 18-wheeler accident which occurred in the afternoon along Buckeye Road.
According to initial details about the accident, it happened at the intersection of Buckeye Road and the I-17 service road.

Authorities did not provide much information about what led to the crash. Images of the scene show an 18-wheeler and a sedan in the left turn lane to go to northbound I-17. Somehow, the car became lodged beneath the left side of the trailer.
As a result of the crash, the woman in the car had reportedly non-life-threatening injuries. No other injuries were reported. At this time, additional details remain unconfirmed.

To be clear up front, I don’t have any information here beyond what’s already public. But based on pictures of the crash scene in the news, I’m reminded of the many scenes I’ve seen where someone either tried to squeeze into a lane someone was already entering or someone changed lanes or turned without checking their blind spot. With all of the businesses nearby, I have to wonder if authorities have looked for any security cameras which may have caught the incident on video. That could be a significant way to clear things up going forward.
