Chambers County, TX — August 31, 2025, a woman sustained injuries due to an 18-wheeler accident at 10:33 p.m. along Interstate 10.
According to preliminary details about the accident, it happened in the area of I-10 and Highway 99, south of Mont Belvieu.
Investigators said that a 36-year-old woman was in a GMC Yukon going westbound along the interstate. a Mack tractor-trailer was going southwest through the area. The vehicles reportedly crossed paths and collided, seriously injuring the woman in the GMC.
There did not appear to be any other injuries. Right now, no further information about the accident is available.

Are authorities pulling vehicle data? Are they looking for nearby cameras? Are they inspecting the vehicles for defects? Are they analyzing debris patterns and road conditions? Have they recorded witness statements they can follow up with? Have they pulled cell phone records?
Sometimes, authorities show they’ve been thorough and are considering the accident from all angles. Other times, their responses fall short, and it becomes clear that telling the victim’s side of the story fairly will require independent investigations. Either way, taking initiative early on can make all the difference for victims and families after a serious truck accident.
